André Ruellan (1922-
) is among the best authors published by the Angoisse and Anticipation
imprints of Editions Fleuve Noir from the 1950s to the 1970s.
A physician by trade, Ruellan used the pseudonym of Kurt Steiner to pen 22 horror novels for Angoisse, and 10 sf
novels for Anticipation, including the two fantasy novels collected as Ortog (1960, 1969).
André Ruellan has also written a number of screenplays for film director Alain Jessua. His novel Le Seuil du Vide was adapted into an
eponymous 1971 film. |
